Molecules of hydrogen and oxygen are liquids, while carbon molecules are solids.The atomic weight of the atom determines its weight. The atomic weight of elements is determined by the number of protons in the nucleus of the atom. Chemists describe atomic weights as mass numbers, the higher the number, the heavier the element.Chemical reactions can occur in many different ways. These include reactions of the ionic form to those of the aqueous form, reactions of the hydroxyl to that of the alcohol, etc. Each chemical reaction depends on the type of atom present in the other chemical substance.
